Job Description

A Charleston insurance defense law firm is seeking an experience litigation legal assistant to support their busy attorneys.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knows and understands insurance defense work.
  • Experience doing conflict checks opening files and revise & draft bills.
  • Handle & scan incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Schedule depositions client interviews and mediations.
  • Handle general administrative duties for 23 attorneys.
  • More than who is reliable and is really a team player.
  • A legal assistant who will do whatever it takes to get the job done no matter who it is.
  • Ideally this legal assistant would have some experience with some kind of case management system like Needles Trial Works ProLaw time management etc...
  • Seeking a happy legal assistant and not a complainer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to determine work priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled typing ability.
  • Ability to compose general correspondence.
  • Answer phones.
  • Follow up on medical records subpoenas.
  • Ability to work individually or a team member.
  • Willingness to participate in shared office duties and requirements.
