Job Description
A Charleston insurance defense law firm is seeking an experience litigation legal assistant to support their busy attorneys.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knows and understands insurance defense work.
- Experience doing conflict checks opening files and revise & draft bills.
- Handle & scan incoming and outgoing mail.
- Schedule depositions client interviews and mediations.
- Handle general administrative duties for 23 attorneys.
- More than who is reliable and is really a team player.
- A legal assistant who will do whatever it takes to get the job done no matter who it is.
- Ideally this legal assistant would have some experience with some kind of case management system like Needles Trial Works ProLaw time management etc...
- Seeking a happy legal assistant and not a complainer.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to determine work priorities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled typing ability.
- Ability to compose general correspondence.
- Answer phones.
- Follow up on medical records subpoenas.
- Ability to work individually or a team member.
- Willingness to participate in shared office duties and requirements.
