Reporting to the Clerical Supervisor the Traffic Operations Clerk II is a key support for the Regulated Road Use section. The role provides administrative and clerical support for the safe and efficient operation management and regulatory use of Edmontons road rightofway.
The Traffic Operations Clerk II is responsible for a broad range of clerical and administrative duties which include supporting the section with 311 notifications and maintenance orders by creating processing and triaging notifications for the different units of the Traffic Operations section. Supporting duties include reviewing and processing regulated road use permit applications including OnStreet Construction and Maintenance (OSCAM).
What you will do:
- Create and triage SAP notifications to send to the section via 311 and other related streams
- Work with Financial Services to recover sign and labour costs related to police files
- Process Goods Receipts for various business areas
- Lead and facilitate emergency barricade callouts to ensure the safety of the transportation network
- Process Traffic Operations internal staff reimbursements for personal protective equipment (PPE) (ie: safety glasses)
- Provide excellent customer service to the public via phone email and in person
- Review process and administer OnStreet Construction and Maintenance (OSCAM) permits for the use of the road rightofway
- Open sort and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail including courier arrangements
- Manage document retention disposition and distribution of paper and electronic records in compliance with FOIP requirements
- Create and maintain files ensuring adherence to corporate and departmental records management procedures
- Perform other related duties as required
- Completion of the twelfth 12th) school grade including business subjects with an emphasis on general office practices or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college
- Minimum of two 2 years of diversified experience in general office practices and procedures including assisting in the instruction of less experienced staff
Assets:
- Good knowledge of the City of Edmonton road systems
- Competency in SAP and Google Suite
- Experience with Posse and Peoplesoft

- Excellent skills in grammar punctuation and spelling with a high level of accuracy ensuring documents conform to City of Edmonton formats

- Ability to plan and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships balancing competing requirements and ensuring service delivery
- Strong knowledge of software and databases including Google Suite products SAP Posse and Peoplesoft

Salary Range: $25.172 $31.257 (Hourly); $44346.770 $55067.020 (Annually)
