Job Description Summary

Echo Educator and Fetal Care Coordinator:
Firstlevel management. Typically does not have the authority to hire fire or promote but their input on these types of actions is highly considered. Will report to the Interventional Cardiology and Imaging manager. May coordinate the business aspects of the Echo Lab including but not limited to strategy project management education of new and current staff IAC accreditation peer review and collaboration with attending providers for global education initiatives and educational goals within the lab. 6 years of progressive work experience in a Pediatric Echo lab preferred.

Additional Job Description

Graduation from a Cardiovascular / Ultrasound program or equivalent experience and certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer PE) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) certification in Pediatrics by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required; Fetal Echocardiography (FE) preferred. Associate of Arts/Science or a Bachelors degree preferred. Two years minimum pediatric echocardiography work experience in performing MMode 2D 3D Doppler and color Doppler required. Fetal Echo and research experience preferred. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology hemodynamics and complex congenital heart disease pre and postoperatively required. Echocardiography experience in the setting of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Cath Lab preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
