Salary:$58380.00 $78468.00 salary does not include an additional 5 premium pay for employees working in an onsite 24/7 facility.
The Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) is looking for a Juvenile Rehabilitation Transition/Employment Coordinator (JR Specialist) to join our team to plan and schedule Future Planning Meetings (FPMs) coordinate and promote transitional services for all young people releasing to a Juvenile Rehabilitation Region within Washington State and complete resource/needs assessments for prerelease young people.
The Opportunity:
You can make a real difference in the lives of young people when you join our dedicated team in the Juvenile Rehabilitation office in Wenatchee Washington. We need your motivation and engagement to collaborate and coordinate the delivery of Community Support for All Young People (CSAY) including Parole Aftercare Services Community Assisted Reentry and Community Transition Services. You will use your leadership skills to provide regionwide coordination of the JR MyJOB employment program as well as education supports in DCYFJR Regional offices. You will also provide case management transition planning counseling and treatment referral services for young people and their families. Join our team in creating pathways for selfsufficiency through meaningful partnerships employment new opportunities and effective rehabilitation as young people prepare to return to their communities.
Some of what you will do:
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or experience totaling six years.
OR
One year as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor 2 working as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Community Counselor (JRCC) or Juvenile Rehabilitation Residential Counselor (JRRC).
OR
A Bachelors degree AND two years of professional experience in casework counseling probation and parole social services planning directing and/or facilitating youth group activities or experience in a related field.
A Masters degree in Psychology Sociology Social Work Social Sciences or in an allied field will substitute for one year of the required years of experience.
