You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSubject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for an FTRS LC OR8 OF2 to serve as 2IC Franchised Training within the Defence School of Healthcare Training (DSHT) at the Defence Medical Academy (DMA) Lichfield.
Unit function:
DSHT delivers high quality healthcare training to around 8000 students and trainees from across Defence per year. This includes a wide range of technical courses professional development opportunities and predeployment clinical training in support of operations.
Position Role:
2IC Franchised Training directly enables Franchised Training delivery supporting units across Defence (including overseas) to deliver inhouse healthcare training under a DMA licence. In collaboration with supporting functions from across the DMA 2IC Franchised Training provides administrative and policy guidance to optimise the reach of DMA training and undertakes assurance activity to ensure the highest training standards are maintained.

Accountability:
2IC Franchised Training isaccountable to OC Franchised Training. CO Defence School of Healthcare Training is the Second Reporting Officer.
Authority:
This position has no reporting duties.
IT experience with the suite of MS Office applications.
Serving member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
Full driving licence (Cat B).
Security Clearance.
Successful applicant will be required to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (Standard) certificate.
Experience in a Service training environment and/or the healthcare arena.
Experience of TAFMIS desirable but not essential.

Based at Defence Medical Services Whittington however a hybrid working arrangement with some remote working may be possible. There will be the occasional requirement for visits to other UK sites or potentially overseas iaw FTRS (LC) TACOS.
