Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer Transit to be based in Los Angeles CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as lead engineer on mid to large size transit and transportation projects.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
- Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation HECRAS AutoCad and Civil 3D.
- Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California.
- Expertise in developing design packages for transportation improvement projects in Southern California. Inclusive of grading & sewage design roadway design LID etc.
- Experience with major transit projects within the state of California
- Able to assist in proposals and presentations.
- Participate in professional organizations representing the company.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
