Job Description
Your responsibilities
As an Organization & Scheduling Support in the Engineering Department EN inside the Accelerators Coordination and Engineering Group within the Organization Scheduling & Support Section you are responsible for planning and coordination of installation of projects associated to the accelerators complex.
In collaboration with the different stakeholders you will:
- Plan and coordinate installation and maintenance activities that will take place during the Long Shutdown 3 ensuring all activities are carried out within agreed overall schedule.
- Prepare all supporting documentation and liaise between the stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve conflicting coactivity issues with the stakeholders concerned and the Project Leaders.
- Collect and structure information perform analysis of the data collected and ensure a proper followup with the different stakeholders.
- Work in close collaboration with projects to ensure their follow up and implementation.
You will have the opportunity to integrate a dynamic team in charge of the Injectors programmed stops with a large view of CERN infrastructures. This position allows learning and understanding the general organisation of CERN accelerators during a Long Shutdown to support major projects but also the opportunity to learn about CERN infrastructures. You will also have the opportunity to work with project management tools like MS Project and other planning tools and increase your technical and behavioural skills in an international environment.
Your profile
Skills
- Project management and coordination;
- Organisation planning and control processes;
- Working with project planning tools (MS project) and VBA;
- Communication skills.
- Spoken and written English or French with a commitment to learn the other language.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- You have a professional background in Engineering Physics (or a related field) and have either:
- a Masters degree with 2 to 6 years of postgraduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of postgraduation professional experience.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
Additional Information :
Job closing date: 05.05.2025 at 23:59 CEST.
Contract duration: 24 months with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Target start date: 01July2025
This position involves:
- Work in Radiation Areas.
- Interventions in underground installations.
- A valid driving licence.
