YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in overseeing and directing production personnel in the days workload including railcar unloading packaging blending and tanker loading.
- Supervise production personnel and monitor work practices to ensure that work is safe efficient and accurate.
- Back up Facility Supervisor in certain duties when they are absent.
- Works with Facility Supervisor to ensure compliance to applicable company policies and government regulations. This may
- include accident/incident investigations hiring and termination decisions and environmental health safety and quality issues.
- Reinforce a strong safety culture at the site.
- Involved in advancing operating procedures or process improvement projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree from a twoyear college or university or a minimum of 3 years related work experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- 3 years previous Supervisory experience preferred.
- Chemical manufacturing or distribution industry a plus.
- Comfortably and confidently uses a computer and specialized software including but not limited to Microsoft Word Excel Outlook.
- Ability to multitask Manages multiple tasks at one time; quickly and accurately shifts attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy or appearance of frustration.
- Communication skills Reads writes and speaks fluent English using appropriate grammar style and vocabulary. Correctly spells commonly used English words and job specific terms. Demonstrates exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
