THE POSITION
- Reporting to the Director of Learning Support Services and working collaboratively with the classroom teacher Learning Support Teacher Youth Care Worker and the broader school team the Behaviour Interventionist (BI) plays a vital role in supporting Autistic individuals with complex needs and other students with diverse needs.
- Provide onetoone and groupbased support to Autistic students or other students tailoring interventions to their individual needs.
- Collaborate in the coplanning and implementation of skill acquisition programs student response plans and safety plans to promote student success and wellbeing.
- Support Autistic students with cooccurring conditions such as anxiety mental health challenges ADHD and trauma by helping them develop strategies and tools to enhance their selfmanagement and socialemotional skills.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress ensuring interventions are evidencebased and outcomesdriven.
- Actively contribute to a collaborative school environment by working with students and the school team on proactive problemsolving approaches that foster independence and resilience.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication for diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Solid understanding of human development and the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour (VB) including related assessment and therapeutic techniques.
- Committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that aligns with organizational values.
- Current Crisis Prevention certification (e.g. CPI or equivalent).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Demonstrated sense of purpose and identity rooted in Biblical principles.
- Active participation in a local Christian church community reflecting alignment with the organizations mission and values.
