JOB SUMMARY

The School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for the parttime lecturer pool in Computer Science and Computer Engineering at the Parttime Lecturer level. All areas of Computer Science and Computer Engineering will be considered. CSE is seeking visionary candidates who contribute to our campus community through teaching research professional activities & service and to achieve the mission and goals of the School College and University. The successful candidate is expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in computer science domain and graduate courses in related areas of specialization. The successful candidate will provide service to the university and community. CSE offers Bachelors of Science in Computer Science Bioinformatics and Computer Engineering a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Systems and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Master of Science in Applied Data Science. Additionally CSE offers Minor in Computer Science and Data Science as well as Certificates in Computer Systems & Programing Mobile Application Development Data Science and Computer Science for K12 Educator.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.

Preferred candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching research and scholarly activities. The candidate is expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must have a graduate degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates with good teaching and research record
• Evidence of scholarly activity publication and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduatelevel teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
