As a Senior Applied Scientist in the Size and Fit organisation you will use our unique datasets to drive bold research experiments to provide 50 million of Zalando customers with gamechanging size and fit advice. We believe that leveraging Zalandos unique datasets through advanced machine learning techniques is the key to helping our customers express their unique size and fit preferences. You will play a crucial role in reshaping our endtoend experimentation pipeline for Deep Learning and apply your expertise in collaboration with an exceptional multidisciplinary team to develop cuttingedge machine learning products. WHAT WED LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Designing and building endtoend infrastructure for largescale Machine Learning experiments using Shadow testing and A/B testing methodologies.
Bring in your extensive scientific experience in researching validating and deploying Deep Learning algorithmic based solutions to help customers make sense out of confusing sizing systems.
Propose lead and build bold initiatives feature ownership from development to deployment.
Forge close partnerships with applied science leaders product managers and other business stakeholders to deliver stateoftheart machine learning solutions to our customers and uncover new opportunities for growth.
Contribute to our scientific endeavours through external publications in toptier journals and conferences.
Act as a mentor to junior scientists foster collaboration with other teams and actively share knowledge and expertise within Zalandos science community.
WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Extensive track record of addressing realworld problems using machine learning throughout the entire product cycle and raises Size & Fits best practice in methods algorithms and technology including architecture design patterns and experiments.
Experience in deploying productionready solutions in production together with engineers.
Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and architectures to support largescale experimentation and analytics.
Experience in applying scientific methods to tackle research problems. A strong inclination to collaborate with product science and engineering managers and solve business problems through scientific solutions.
Strong knowledge of SQL.

ABOUT SIZE & FIT
At Zalando we deeply understand that Size Matters. We are excited to use our unique and large article and customer datasets to tackle this challenge using ML and Computer Vision techniques. How about you; would you like to bring in your skills to shape a great experience for your family and friends when buying clothes and shoes online
You will join our multidisciplinary Zurich & Berlinbased Size and Fit Team composed of machine learning / computer vision / deep learning researchers software engineers and full stack developers from 20 different nationalities. We provide recommendations and predictions on customer size and fit choices and conduct focused experiments using emerging technologies to solve the challenges.
You will take on this complex and important topic working side by side with our Product Specialists and Applied Scientists. We have great problems to solve a huge customer base to impact and are a team that loves to have fun. Size and Fit is a human topic. We use machines to help solve our customers challenges. But we never forget size and fit success is defined by how customers feel when they wear fashion.
