You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSupervision:Directs daily operations of the Employer Reporting section supervises three specialists manages workflow assigns projects ensures training readiness for employers monitors compliance and serves as the primary contact for escalated personnel and employer issues. As a working supervisor this role includes both individual contributions and team oversight.
Technical & Programming Liaison:Collaborates with IT on system issues and enhancements including testing providing detailed scopes and identifying security/control improvements for contribution processing.
Staff Development:Fosters professional growth through planning goal setting individual support performance evaluations disciplinary actions and hiring for the team.
Compliance & Process Management:Develops maintains and trains staff on departmental practices procedures and processes; coordinates with other departments (legal audit) to resolve complex issues; and maintains a knowledge repository.
Communication & Issue Resolution:Develops educational materials for employers communicates changes resolves escalated technical issues determines when to escalate complex matters (personnel legal IT accounting employers multidepartmental) oversees workflow approves procedures and manages staff performance and scheduling.
PREFERENCES:
Candidates with supervisory and accounting experience.
Working knowledge of WRS statutes rules policies benefits and actuarial structures for its eight defined pension plans.
Familiarity with IRS tax rules and regulations as well as financial and accounting principles GAAP internal controls and reconciliation procedures.
Understanding of Wyoming state statutes WRS Board Policies and Rules and foundational actuarial calculations. Experience with state accounting systems (WOLFS or similar) data input reconciliation and approvals.
Experience in preparing analyzing and interpreting financial data and compiling periodic reports.
Proficient in oral and written professional communication capable of effectively interacting with all levels of government the public and WRS staff.
Skilled in team organization time management work prioritization training team building and communication with the ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work independently selfmotivated and missionoriented.
Working knowledge of technology and software including Microsoft Office Suite document management systems and payroll or accounting systems.
Experienced in supervising and developing teams to meet department objectives.
Experienced in identifying implementing and training on process improvements.
This position primarily involves sedentary work; however some walking standing bending and light lifting may occur.
No special physical requirements are necessary.
