The following position is to join our BBN team:

For over 70 years scientists and engineers in diverse disciplines at RTX BBN Technologies have collaborated to solve realworld problems through research exploration development and prototyping. • Create the vision and secure funding for new concepts.
• Lead multiple multimilliondollar R&D and transition programs.
• Plan and execute field tests on land or at sea.
• Regularly meet or exceed the metrics of challenging R&D programs.
• Handle complex technical challenges while helping researchers focus on the technical work to be achieved and the big picture of their efforts.
• Travel to partner customer and corporate sites.

Basic Qualifications:

• An advanced degree in physical sciences or engineering (e.g. physics signal processing acoustics mechanical engineering) with 10 years of experience as a Principal Investigator or technical lead on R&D programs.
• 10 years of experience related to physical sciences mechanical engineering sensing and signal processing acoustics or related discipline.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Fluent in at least one commonly used programming language such as Python Matlab C or C.
• Experience forming and leading diverse teams of scientists and engineers through full lifecycle of technology development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• PhD in physical sciences or engineering.
• Successful capture of new R&D contracts from US Government customers such as DARPA ONR or the US Navy PMOs.
• Previous experience working withinresearch anddevelopmentengineeringorganizations.

Work Location:

This is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside or relocate within commuting distance of Middletown RI. Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role:

• Hybrid:Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work the majority of time onsite with work from home when permissible.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
