Job Description
The Sales AI SDS platform team in Amazon Advertising is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer who can support our endtoend data infrastructure. You will be developing a robust and scalable platform to support applications services and systems consuming TBs of data with subsecond latency. This platform will ensure availability and timely delivery of data necessary for critical decisionmaking process by our advertising account management leads and account specialists to execute on behalf of Amazon Advertisings advertiser population. You will design and develop software solutions to support several stakeholders. You are a strong technical leader who effectively partners with other technical leaders in the team understands the big picture drives prioritization builds consensus and rallies the team behind it. Responsibilities include design and implementation of complex components while maintaining a high bar on quality.
Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of eCommerce and advertising providing a rich array of advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. We help advertisers reach Amazon customers on Amazon across our other owned and operated sites on other highquality sites across the web and on millions of Kindles tablets and mobile devices. We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do including advertising. Key job responsibilities
Candidates for this position should have strong engineering fundamentals as well as realworld experience. You will showcase diverse architectural approaches and design patterns in your technical design. Think big and stay informed about industry standards in Ad tech space. Communicate effectively across all leadership levels verbally and in writing. Lead deep technical discussions with senior engineers collaborating to solve challenging problems. You will be able to quickly grasp new systems and provide valuable consultation.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
