Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This role will own the endtoend P&L for Dependent Services. This role works across multiple business and finance teams to drive the business insights into performance lead key projects and drive process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities Manage and develop the financial analysis processes Partner with and proactively communicate across the AWS finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables. Support adhoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business executives. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations. Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize streamline and prioritize improvements remove roadblocks and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting. Write and present narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure capital for senior leadership. Lead large scale initiatives and financial controllership
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 3 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience MBA or CPA Knowledge of Tableau Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience 4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience Six Sigma Black Belt Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
