Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Disability Access Center (DAC) Associate Director the incumbent serves as the DAC Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assistive technology providing direct assessment approval and training on university hosted assistive technologies to qualified students with disabilities. This position also serves as the university SME related to the DACs case management software providing direct support to disabled students as well as the faculty and staff who support and serve them.
Work includes project management related to maintaining and/or updating assistive technology analyzing and researching software applications and developing/implementing proactive solutions to ensure students have access necessary to effectively participate in their academics.
FLSA:Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range:$6250 per month $6395 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range:$5158 per month $12730 per month

To enter this classification a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technical information systems and application program packages is a prerequisite. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelors degree in computer science information systems educational technology communications or related fields or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study. Foundation knowledge and skills for the Information Technology Consultant depending on the nature of the position assignment may include working knowledge of common software application packages equipment platforms reference database systems and sources and training methods and a basic understanding of networks data communication and multimedia systems.
