What You Will Be Doing

This position supervises and manages the Statewide Accounting Services Section of the Division of Finance including program and policy development and management of staff and fiscal resources.

The ACFR Program Coordinator directs and as needed participates in the work of a unit of advanced professional accounting staff responsible for producing the States Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) developing Statewide accounting policies and ensuring State compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) standards and practices.

  • Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles standards and practices (for example double entry accounting accrual accounting) including the full accounting cycle and the preparation of work sheets financial statements ledgers and journals.


  • Technical Credibility: Understands and appropriately applies principles procedures requirements regulations and policies related to specialized expertise.

Any combination of postsecondary education and/or progressively responsible professional experience applying Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) the functions of governmental and fund accounting internal accounting controls accounting systems and program administration and financial reporting on the overall financial condition of a governmental entity.
