Do you want to make a difference Have an eye for detail Join New Zealands largest Digital Forensic team and be a part of something special. We are looking for a high performing dynamic people to work in teams across the country who provide expert support to investigations.

This role presents a great opportunity at all levels to develop new skills and productively contribute to an everchanging environment. The New Zealand Police Digital Forensics Unit is part of the High Tech Crime Group and play a crucial role in all digital aspects of an investigation. You will receive training and gain valuable on the job experience as you become an expert in digital forensics. You will assist investigations from planning through to expert witness testimony you will develop skills to add value to investigations. You will use an array of communication skills to convey technical information to a broad audience.

Digital Forensic Technician

The Digital Forensics Unit has a career structure which progresses staff from Technician level through to Analyst. Through the training program the successful candidate will develop the critical thinking skills and practical handson experience needed to progress and become a Digital Forensic Analyst.

Digital Forensic Analyst

You will already have practical real world digital forensic experience and have a certification as IACISs CFCE SANS GCFE or similar.
