What you will do
Assist in feeding seining crowding loading and hauling of fish; observe fish behavior for signs of stress or disease.
Assist in maintenance of all equipment including minor tuneups of tractors trucks mowers; performs minor carpentry plumbing and electrical repairs.
Performs facility maintenance (e.g. painting visitor center and area cleaning litter cleanup); pressure washing; mowing grass; tree trimming; maintaining roads and sidewalks; removing snow.
Conducts area tours; answers phone and public inquiries regarding Division of Wildlife programs; assists with other sections field activities (e.g. fish stockings litter cleanup wildlife area maintenance).
Frequent heavy lifting including feed bags and heavy nets of fish are required.
Work frequently in and around water often outside in inclement weather.
Hourly pay of $18.63/hr.

This is a 1000hour intermittent (unclassified) position expected to begin May 2025 end in December 2025.
This position is expected to work 40 hours per week.
Typically this position will work 8hour days but hours may vary and include some long days (i.e. up to 12 hours per day).
