The World Wide Grocery Stores teams are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team that is focused on building mission critical software used by Amazon customers.

As a developer on the team youll drive improvements to our technology collaborating with sharp engineers and highlyengaged users to ship code continuously. We have many domains ranging from highlyscalable transactional backend systems to complex optimization problems to customer facing mobile apps so if you love building worldclass software of any type most likely we have a place for you.

Key job responsibilities
Depending on your experience interests and business needs you will own the frontend backend or full stack design and development of product features building scale efficiency and differentiated customer experiences. Were looking for software engineers passionate about building software solutions endtoend have strong software development experience delivering at scale solutions and systems design skills. You should have a demonstrated ability delivering within a DevOps delivery model from scoping requirements requirement analysis design development test CI/CD security implementation and operational excellence with the ability to work crossfunctionally with Product Managers business stakeholders and other tech teams through the actual launch of the project. You should also have experience in communicating with users other technical teams and management to collect requirements describe software product features and technical designs.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
