Job Description
Fire TV is the #1 bestselling streaming media player in the U.S. We are looking for an experienced customer obsessed Technical Program Manager who is able to collaborate effectively with a talented technical team and be responsible for key aspects of the software customer experience on our core SMP products. In this role you will lead the definition and shepherd the development of new features as well as important optimizations to the service specifically related to improving customer engagement retention and monetization on device. The role is inherently crossfunctional: you will work closely with a highenergy team of software engineers program managers user experience designers marketers customer service leads as well as internal & external product stakeholders across the company (Amazon Video AppStore etc). This role is a good fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment is both creative and technical and who is sensitive to (or understands) the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences.
The ideal candidate has a passion for TV & video entertainment combined with an established track delivering breakout consumer technology products.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute substantially to the vision strategy and roadmap for primary customer journeys on Fire TV devices.
Align key internal and external partners to ensure scalable solutions and excellence in .
Lead prioritization and tradeoffs among customer experience schedule performance and cost.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the teams ability to meet strategic roadmap financial and/or technical goals.
Create and optimize processes for adding new digital content quickly while ensuring the content meets Amazons high quality bar and follows Amazons policies
Specify requirements for the technological systems and tools required to support the content operations business road map and goals
Partner with other Amazon groups as necessary to implement the strategy and manage exception processes
Above all you will ensure we protect Amazons high quality customer experience and provide an efficient and transparent experience for our developers and content provider.
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
