Summary of the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Tech Lead to join our dynamic IT team at FNBO. The ideal candidate will lead technical projects mentor team members and drive technological advancements that support our digital customer experience. It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three 3 or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

About This Role:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead the design development and implementation of complex software solutions
  • Make critical technical decisions and provide direction for the team
  • Ensure the use of best practices in software development including code reviews testing and documentation
  • Ensure all solutions are compliant with best practices around application security encryption and data in flight.
  • Participate in planning for initiatives; tasks include design estimates breakdown of work and identifying dependencies.


Project Management:

  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables
  • Manage project timelines resources and risks
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth project
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide junior developers fostering their professional growth
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality information security standards code maintainability and unit testing are addressed.
  • Promote a culture of innovation continuous learning and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in development work
  • Support resolution of production issues and create steps to prevent recurrence


Technology Strategy:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in banking and fintech
  • Propose and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities
  • Contribute to the longterm technology roadmap for FNBO
  • Create and maintain application and network diagrams.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain high standards for code quality and performance
  • Implement robust testing strategies to ensure the reliability and security of our systems
  • Oversee the resolution of technical issues and bugs
  • Participate in data security assessments audits and compliance reviews
  • Oversight responsibility on resolution of vulnerabilities compliance deficits and PEN test remediation

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear understandable terms for nontechnical stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates on project status challenges and successes to management
  • Technical liaison to business unit

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a Lead role
  • Strong proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g. Java JavaScript)
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile Scrum)
  • Experience with designing and implementing REST APIs (working knowledge of OpenAPI Spec/Swagger); working knowledge of SOAP APIs
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL MongoDB Oracle SQLServer) and web servers (e.g. Apache nginx)
  • Proven experience with multiple frontend languages and libraries (e.g. HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript XML jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular React VueJS)
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment

  • You have experience working on a cross functional team and leading developers of various experience.
  • You have 7 years of handson development experience building Web Applications and Microservices.
  • Youre resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
  • You are a strong communicator who embraces collaboration.
  • Knowledge and experience in AWS and Terraform
  • Able to respond quickly and positively to change

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $105443.00$179253.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience education and/or skill level.
