Position Summary
Salary: $18085 $20575 / quarter basedepending on experience & education
(Per quarter salary calculation:Base multiplied by class load ex.: $20575 base * 50 teaching load approx. $10287.50

The Health Informatics & Information Management (HIIM) Program offers degrees and certificates accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) or through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).We are looking for instructors with expertise in health data analysis database management and Power BI.
Our HIIM programs are fully online providing you the flexibility to work remotely. Beyond Washington state we can also accept applications from residents of Arizona California Colorado Hawaii Louisiana Nebraska New Mexico Oregon Texas And Virginia.
Typical duties include the following:- Teaching a variety of online HIIM courses in the HIIM Program
- Expertise in health data analysis database management and Power BI
- Interacting with students in weekly discussions
- Responding to student questions in a timely manner
- Developing curriculum as needed including learning activities exams and recorded lectures.
- Creating and updating HIIM courses on an ongoing basis based on industry standards and best practices
- Teaching a variety of online HIIM courses in the HIIM Program
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Masters degree in Health Information Management or Health Informatics or closely related discipline from an accredited institution
- Five 5 or more years of HIIM industry experience with a focus on data analytics
- Two 2 or more years of experience teaching online in a higher education environment
Knowledge of:- Microsoft Office programs learning management systems and other appropriate instructional technologies
- Data analysis database management and Power BI
- Related trends and regulations
Skill in:- Imparting excitement and enthusiasm into the instruction of Health Informatics and Information Management
- Developing/modifying curriculum both collaboratively and independently
- Effective oral/written communication with individuals at all levels inside and outside the College
- Fostering a climate of equity and belonging through multicultural awareness and responsiveness
- Adapting to a variety of teaching situations with students from diverse backgrounds/abilities
- Working and interacting effectively with colleagues staff students administrators and others of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Conditions of Employment
Physical Work Environment:
This position will be remote. Faculty will need to provide their own workspace and internet access noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs.
Terms of Employment & Salary:
This is a parttime nontenured quartertoquarter assignment. Salary placement is determined by the number of qualifying years of teaching/work experience combined with educational preparation. Hiring of this position is contingent upon available funding as determined by the College President.Required Materials
