The Nuclear Medicine Consultant plays a critical role in the healthcare system specifically in Ranchi Jharkhand where their expertise contributes significantly to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT and PET scans.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Interpret imaging results and communicate findings to referring physicians.
- Develop treatment plans based on diagnostic imaging and patient evaluations.
- Ensure appropriate radiation safety measures are implemented and followed.
- Educate patients and family members on the procedures and potential risks.
- Collaborate with radiologists oncologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage administrative tasks related to nuclear medicine operations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all procedures.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Conduct research to advance the field of nuclear medicine.
- Supervise and train junior staff and medical students.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in nuclear medicine practice.
- Provide consultation services to other medical departments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution specializing in nuclear medicine.
- Valid medical license to practice in Jharkhand.
- Board certification in nuclear medicine or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety regulations and practices.
- Proficient in interpreting diagnostic imaging results.
- Experience with stateoftheart nuclear imaging technology.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and medical staff.
