Telenor IoT has a long history within the automotive sector and has provided connectivity to vehicles globally since the early days of the company. As part of Telenors growth ambition further expanding our business in this vertical is key and we therefore have a need to strengthen our global organization with a Commercial Lead Automotive dedicated to Automotive.

This position will report to the Head of Automotive in Telenor Connexion and be part of a team of automotive experts that works in close cooperation with our Sales regions internal stakeholders and other external partners in the value chain. As the connectivity ecosystem is experiencing significant disruption accompanied by increasing complexity from both structural and regulatory perspectives this role will be instrumental in guiding the companys ambitions within this evolving landscape. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening Telenor Connexions position in the automotive sector by leading key business development initiatives. This includes forging strategic partnerships expanding our offerings in line with market trends and shaping a longterm value proposition that keeps Telenor IoT relevant in the automotive space.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Initiate develop and execute business development strategies to expand Telenor Connexions presence in the automotive IoT market focusing on passenger vehicles.
  • Identify and execute on identified strategic partnerships in the passenger car ecosystem.
  • Identify and execute on new innovated offers and business models complementing the existing value proposition towards automotive.
  • Develop value proposition material presentations and gotomarket strategies tailored to automotive clients.
  • Analyse Global industry trends competitor activities and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities in connected car solutions.
  • Collaborate with global sales teams product and engineering teams to align IoT solutions with market needs and customer demands.
  • Represent the company at international industry events conferences and networking forums.

Required experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Technology or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 10 years of experience in business development sales or strategic partnerships in the automotive sector.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive connectivity solutions and vehicle connectivity as well as how the connectivity ecosystem is structured from a platform and operational perspective with comprehensive understanding of SDV landscape
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex solutions into clear business value propositions.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Selfmotivated resultsdriven and able to thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • Willingness to travel as required.
