The mission of Marketing and Communications (MarCom) is to strategically advance the stature of Santa Fe College and improve the recruitment and retention of SF students by producing and providing direction for online print and promotional materials as well as consistent and meaningful media relations.Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Oversees functionality architecture and navigation of college websites and web properties.
Leads inspires and guides the web team and the development and design of website functionalities.
Checks search engine optimization rankings frequently; optimizes content site speed and functionality.
Develops performancedriven campaign landing pages and manages redirects.
Consults with employees and departments collegewide to develop accurate wellorganized and engaging web content that is aligned with the colleges brand identity and mission.
Leads web project management and maintains multiple projects and web requests on budget and on schedule communicating with the team regularly to ensure this.
Installs updates and schedules routine maintenance to ensure web security and functionality.
Ensures web properties are compliant with federal guidelines on accessibility.
Coordinates budget management financial resources and expenditures to ensure efficient utilization within allocated funds.
Collaborates with the AVP to create and implement departmental goals that strategically advance the stature of SF and that provide consistent meaningful direction.
Represents MarCom at a variety of internal and external committees conferences and related events and activities.
Stays abreast and current with emerging web trends and solutions that can enhance the colleges reputation and marketing and communications efforts.
Complies with all published College Rules procedures guidelines and laws/regulations governing public employees including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction FERPA and confidentiality.
Provides service excellence through courteous informed accessible and professional engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: A bachelors degree with four 4 years of experience managing web properties in a CMS and following W3C standards or a combination of completed education and/or experience equal to eight 8 years; proficiency in and working knowledge of HTML5 XHTML CCS AJAX PHP JavaScript and W3C Web Standards; prior supervisory experience is required.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: A bachelors or masters degree in a closely related field with prior experience working with Asana or similar project management tools Adobe Creative Cloud web design prototyping wireframing software and Site Improve as well as specific experience at higher education institutions.
