SUMMARY:
A Teacher in the Tucson Unified School District TwoWay Dual Language Program advances student achievement through effective management of the learning environment including preparing lesson plans evaluating and monitoring student performance and progress in alignment with the 90/10 immersion model. Our teachers provide effective and equitable instruction to students in various planned courses to address both content and language learning goals. Our Teachers demonstrate a solid commitment to continuous learning and understand and appreciate diversity; they collaboratively develop instructional strategies that encourage students to analyze and interpret class material. Teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe respectful classroom to create an environment conducive to optimizing student strengths while simultaneously developing their natural curiosity and love of learning.

Grades Kindergarten 3rd
OR
Grades 4th 8th
Grades 9th 12th
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE:
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization

New to District TwoWay Dual Language (TWDL) teachers are consideredHard to Filland are eligible for a $5000stipend. The stipend is paid in two installments at the end of each semester. Prorated for employees who work less than 1.0FTE/207 days. Make the Move candidates are also eligible for this stipend if they have not received it previously.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
