Job Description
Mitchell Technical College is seeking an Assistant Director of Financial Aid. This is a fulltime position and will tentatively being May 1 2025.
The Assistant Director will have oversight over Federal WorkStudy Program and assist the Financial Aid Director with financial aid presentations for internal/external constituencies financial aid counseling for students and parents administering various institutional state and federal aid programs and processing invoices to third parties for educational expenses of students.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- AAS degree required from an accredited degree granting institution. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Three years previous experience in higher education preferably in Financial Aid.
- Knowledge of and experience with state and federal financial aid programs.
- Pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Preferred Skills:
- Must be able to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated positive communication and public speaking skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Previous experience working with PowerFAIDs and/or Jenzabar EX is preferred.
