Job Summary
Martinus is seeking a graduate plant engineer within our plant department. You will work with a variety of rolling stock rail vehicles and mobile plant supporting modifications of parts and equipment fault finding as well as supporting routine maintenance to ensure that plant is prepared for service on time operates efficiently and safely and meets regulatory and network standards. You will also take part in the Martinus strategy to modernise and digitise our fleet.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Support the engineering team in preparing Engineering compliance documents.
Support reviews of specifications testing instructions procedures testing plan implement static and dynamic tests for mobile plant fixed plant rollingstock in the workshop and OnTrack.
Develop and prepare under supervision the engineering calculation and drawings for mechanical designs and/or modifications from concept design to service introduction.
Support the management of the Engineering change process as well as the implementation of waivers type tests with respect to Mechanical systems
Commission test & monitor to assure that all works are delivered and conform to the required standards and that all relevant test results inspections and records required under the contract approvals and legislation are captured.
Provide technical support to staff within the plant department within bounds of expertise
Provide technical support during fault finding and maintenance activities within bounds of expertise
Support disposal strategies in accordance with Asset Lifecycle Plans for assets at end of life.
Support the delivery of technical maintenance plans & schedules.
Update asset and CMMS databases as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical or equivalent
1 years of experience in rail or heavy plant industry
Prioritising tasks to changing workload demands
Thinking and acting systematically
Innovative problemsolving
Construction or manufacturing sites
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2D or 3D CAD skills preferably using AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
