Job Description
Who We Are:
WISEACRE Brewing Company is a fastgrowing regional brewery located in the gritty but grand city of Memphis TN. We first started brewing in 2013 and now have 2 production facilities along with accompanying taprooms and a pizza kitchen serving up New Haven style pies. Our focus is on making top quality uniquely flavorful beverages but we have a particular passion for lagers as evidenced by our topselling GABF bronze medal winning Tiny pilsner.

Position Details:
The bartender is in charge of serving patrons providing information to help with beverage selections presenting ordered choices and effectively ensuring that guests are satisfied with their WISEACRE experience. The ideal candidate will be able to provide topquality customer service while maintaining taproom ambiance and transaction accuracy. In order to help ensure all aspects of this position are performed as expected measurable metrics will be provided along with regularly scheduled performance reviews. This position reports directly to the Front of House Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Complete daily weekly and monthly cleaning setup and breakdown tasks as assigned
- Be fully knowledgeable of and adhere to sanitation safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Monitor guests intoxication levels and refrain from serving alcohol when appropriate
- Check identification of all patrons and monitor for underage drinking
- Help guests select beverages by presenting menu and making informed suggestions
- Use POS System as instructed
- Keep customer tabs precise and up to date
- Provide accurate information about our beer and food options
- Accurately input food and bev orders
- Assist with running food from kitchen to tables whenever scheduled or asked to do so
- Bus tables and maintain a clean indoor/outdoor space
- Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
- Be knowledgeable of and comply with operational standards company policies federal/state/local laws and ordinances
- Communicate and embody WISEACRE brand
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum one year of experience in service industry
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Has an up to date ABC card
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm demeanor
- Proficiency in POS System and/or willingness to learn
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Physical Demands:
- Stands and/or traverses taproom for long periods of time
- Use repetitive motions
- Lifts up to 60 pounds without assistance
Compensation:
- $7.25/hr during training period (typically 23 shifts) and for occasional staff meetings
- $2.13/hr plus tips for standard shifts once training is complete
- $20/hr plus tips for private events
- Potential opportunity for promotion to shift leader after at least 90 days of time in the role contingent on performance and prior experience. Rate for shift leaders is $7.25/hr plus tips.
