The ACPE Chaplain Intern provides emotional and spiritual support to patients families and hospital staff. This role involves direct spiritual care and counseling particularly in times of crisis utilizing interpersonal dynamics and religious resources to alleviate anxiety and help individuals integrate their hospital experience with their broader life perspective. The intern will also participate in overnight holiday and weekend pastoral care rotations conduct clinical rounds and offer consultations to hospital staff for developing emotional and spiritual care plans.
Bachelors Degree strongly preferred. Masters level theological degree from an accredited seminary or graduate school in process or equivalent ministry experience recommended but not required.
