Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Grand Rapids MI
Job description:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD)
- Knowledgeable in:
- Mechanical systems
- Materials and material finishes
- Manufacturing processes
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Tolerance stackup analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools suite; Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Visio
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledgeable in IPC standards: JSTD001 and IPCA610
- Basic knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards and Circuit Card Assemblies with regards to finishes coatings and adhesives
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Mechanically astute. Can bring the correct solution to a given problem
- Mechanically handy
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
- Selfmotived and a selfstarter
- Is persistent and accountable in successfully completing tasks and can effectively work through barriers presented in a work environment
- Earns trust of peers through demonstration of technical competency and followthrough
