Job Description
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
- Requirements as set by the State of New Hampshire Certification Authorities and Board of School Committee regulations.
- State of NH Teacher Certification in Special Education 1900 or other approved certification status may be considered.
Specific Core Function:
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students that are in a selfcontained setting and diagnoses with Autism.
- Work with support staff to increase student communication and behavior management.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Plan a program of study that meets individual needs interests and abilities of students.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of IEP goals and objectives.
- Guide the learning process towards vocational training and community involvement.
Specified Length/Hours of Position:
This is an affiliated (MEA) position under the Teacher Association negotiated contract following the school calendar with additional workshop days.
