Job Overview:
This position works in the Financial Services Division and maintains fiscal accountability of juvenile placement funds appropriated for the placement of youth offenders and the provision of prevention intervention and other services to youth. Acts as financial liaison between Youth Court staff providers office of court administrator staff and other branch personnel.
This position analyzes provider payment data to ensure services are paid in accordance with contracts and with appropriate funding sources codes and enters payments for youth placements reviews entries in the Juvenile Court Assessment and Tracking System (JCATS) to determine accuracy of data and assists in performing reconciliations of JCATS data to SABHRS. The position also tracks and monitors available funding sources to ensure optimal use of funds appropriated analyzes monthly expenses provides budget status reports to probation officers and offers assistance and instruction on fiscal matters to Chief Probation Officers.

Work is performed primarily in an office setting.
Physical Demands:
Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking standing bending reaching and lifting and carrying items under 25 pounds such as papers and files. Some positions may require periods of extended computer use.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience:
Possession of an associates degree from an accredited college or university in accounting finance or a related field or three years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting or financial field. Experience in governmental accounting and using SABHRS preferred. Other combination of related education and experience will be considered on a casebycase basis.
