Our Ontario EDO (Engineering Design Organization) is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Senior Structural Engineerto support our facilities projects.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience contribute to and be responsible for all structural engineering aspects of multidisciplinary projects in various markets and businesses with a strong diverse background in structural design and deliveryof Buildings projects.

Working with an energetic and highperforming team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Assist in executing existing and new projects.
- Ensure timely completion of project deliverables and able to manage several projects at once and determine priorities including sound judgement and decisiveness.
- Produce engineering drawings details and specifications from conception to final design according to established standards and procedures for a wide variety of steel and concrete structures.
- Work in Design Bid Build and Design Build environments to advance design packages by providing value added design solutions in conformance with operator requirements and client/end user specifications.
- Mentor and supervise junior and intermediate CAD staff and engineers prepare construction specifications tender and contract packages and conduct site inspections of existing structures as well as those under construction as necessary.
- Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.
- Assist in preparation of effective proposals seeking targeted project opportunities.
- Develop and implement established company QA/QC processes for project work.
What you will bring to the team
- Bilingual (fluent in both English and French languages).
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario .
- Minimum 10 years of diverse structural engineering experience with a focus on facility design type projects.
- Excellent understanding of structural systems and practical design experience of designing facility structures/buildings water/earth retaining structures and shallow and deep foundation systems to name a few.
- Conversant with National building Code of Canada NBCC and provincial building codes CSA codes for design of steel concrete masonry and wood structures.
- Ability to develop designs to comply with project specific output specifications
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to develop effective and trustworthy relationships both with project teams and within the organization
- Strong problem solving and decisionmaking abilities
- Strong computer skills including experience in structural analysis and design software such as SAP 2000 ETABS SAFE SFRAME and ROBOT and MS Office
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The following skills would be considered an asset for this position:
- Licensed in the province of Quebec
- Project management skills and budget and schedule controls
- Knowledge of BIM 360 and REVIT
