Position Summary
The Communication Studies Department at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for adjunct (parttime) teaching positions in the undergraduate program. A qualified individual can teach up to three of our threecredit courses per semester. We are seeking qualified instructors to teach our SPCH S121 Public Speaking course. IU South Bend is the third largest campus in the Indiana University system and serves the north central Indiana community. The Public Speaking course provides students with the opportunity to enhance their public speaking and communication skills campuswide as this course fulfills the required General Education Oral Communication requirement. The Communication Studies Department faculty through this course strive to expand students understanding and skills in communication areas such as presentation ethics listening critical thinking collaboration nonverbal communication and professionalism.
