Field Service Engineer Graduate Program 2025
We are offering a FastTrack Graduate Program for Field Service Engineers in Europe starting in October 2025. Your base location will be Dresden Germany.
The 9month program is aimed at ambitious new graduates looking for an exciting career in the semiconductor industry.
As a member of the Field Service EngineerProgram you will participate in a blended learning environment where you will receive FSE certification through handson equipment training on Applieds broad portfolio of products. The Field Service Engineer Program promotes a broad careergrowth quick exposure to Applied Materials suite of digital tools and technologies internal operations customer requirements and project presentations will prepare you for successful future career growth.
Upon completion of your training you will be located in either Grenoble (France) Agrate (Italy) Dresden (Germany) or Kildare (Ireland) which are vibrant hubs for the semiconductor industry in Europe.
What you will do on our Field Service Engineer Program:
Field Service Engineers (FSE) are working in stateoftheart facilities and at customer sites where they are the face of Applied Materials and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team. They like to troubleshoot hardware solve complex problems and make equipment work better.
- Onsite installation and support of leadingedge customer equipment performing scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance and upgrading equipment.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance independently or as part of a team
- Systematic troubleshooting and fault elimination of the systems.
- FSEs work across technologies such as: Chemical Vapor Deposition Atomic Layer deposition Plasma Reactive Ion Etch Physical Vapor Deposition Anneal Implant Metrology and Inspection.
Our College Graduate Trainee Program includes:
- Theoretical and practical knowledge transfer as well as international placements at our newest production sites in Asia and Europe.
- Training onthejob and guided tasks to gain experience. Supported by a local buddy team colleagues and managers.
- Longterm work opportunities at our European sites with potential development opportunities in various specialisms.
We are looking for you:
- If you are graduating in 2025 or have recently graduated in 2024 with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
- Have an advanced level of English. A proficient level of either French German or Italian would be beneficial.
- If you are an EU Citizen or have the right to live and work in France/Italy/Ireland/Germany.
Your mindset is important:
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a building trust nature.
- Exercise judgement based on data analysis of multiple sources of information like plant documentations schematics and hardware data.
- Find solutions with different tools to get the machine running again.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus.
