The Senior Software Engineer is a key position within the Instrument NPI team responsible for maintaining and implementation across multiple platforms. This role requires leadership in technical excellence representing NPI on project core teams and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 68 years experience in software development.
- Programming experience in C# Python Java.
- Familiarity with software development and hardware components.
- Experience in design and development of complex subsystems.
- Familiarity working with manufacturing or a ThirdParty Manufacturer is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Experience in software design discussions to ensure manufacturing needs are met.
- Experience developing software that directly interacts with test equipment (i.e. power supplies multimeters data acquisition devices) to automate electronics testing.
- Experience supporting hardware build developing test software debugging validating and finetuning test stations for release to production.
- Good command of Linux.
Preferred Experience:
- Handson experience with life sciences instrumentation.
- Previous Agile experience is a plus.
- C a plus.
- Experience with genomics and/or scientific instrumentation is a plus.
- Knowledge in applicable genomics related bioinformatics tools and data analysis.
This role is 100 onsite.
You may be required from time to time to visit and work at PacBio locations and for such times as the Company considers necessary for the proper performance of your duties.
