Director of Recreation
Linden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation islooking for a Director of Recreation to join the team at our Skilled NursingFacility in Brooklyn NY!

Director of RecreationResponsibilities
- Plan develop organize implement evaluateand direct the recreation programs
- Communicate with residents and families asnecessary and involve them in the planning of facility recreation programs
- Consult with staff interdepartmental personneletc. to solve the needs and problems of residents through the development ofrecreation programs
- Review and address complaints and grievancesmade by residents
- Develop and maintain a recreation schedule
- Ensure that all recreation staff incorporateresidents care plans in daily activities
- Assist in the recruitment interviewing andselection of personnel for the recreation department
- Maintain an adequate supplies and equipment forthe recreation department
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmthpersonal interest and positive emphasis
Director of RecreationRequirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- NYS license as a recreation specialist or as arecreation professional
- Completion of training course approved by NYS
- 2 or more years experience in a social orrecreation program
- Previous experience in a resident activitiesprogram in a health care setting
