Senior Geospatial Engineer

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a skilled and innovative Senior Geospatial Engineer to join an exciting and forwardthinking assignment working on cuttingedge geospatial and 3D visualisation technology for a leading central government department.

Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience with geospatial libraries and platforms such as MapLibre MapTiler and CesiumJS.
- Handson experience with realtime 3D engines like Unreal or Godot.
- Solid web development skills with a focus on responsive design and mobile usability.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ceremonies (Scrum standups sprint planning).
- Understanding of application security and experience implementing fixes from penetration tests.
- Proven track record of working independently in remote/distributed teams.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop features using geospatial technologies including MapLibre MapTiler and CesiumJS.
- Build rich and interactive functionality using gaming engines such as Godot or Unreal Engine.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with the team to align on project objectives and sprint planning.
- Provide accurate time estimates for development tasks and deliver quality code within agreed timelines.
- Develop responsive mobilefriendly web interfaces to ensure a seamless user experience across devices.
- Tune performance of both applications and databases based on feedback from testing and monitoring tools.
- Apply security remediations in response to penetration test outcomes ensuring secure code delivery.
- Adhere to established quality standards and development best practices contributing to a highperforming delivery team.
NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews 710 days).
