Overview
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Pastry Sous Chef the incumbent maintains standards established in the preparation and presentation of food including tastingpresentation and sanitation.
- Assists the Pastry Sous Chef and Cook in quality and portion control of product.
- Must be flexible and able to work all kitchen areas.
- Promotes positive customer relations; handles guest complaints.
- Assist other line employees with daily responsibilities.
- Prepare production in accordance with established standards set by Restaurant Chef.
- Sees to the proper labeling rotation storage temperature and environment required.
- Strive to eliminate overproduction and overpurchasing.
- Maintain quality inventory control of your production.
- Ensure that production and storage areas are maintained in accordance with city and state health department codes.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintains a clean safe hazardfree work environment within area responsibility.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate has a passion for the production of fine pastries such as but not limited to: classic tart dough puff pastry multilayered cakes bitesized petit fours different varieties of breads and pound cakes. The successfulcandidate will constantly seek to surprise and delight each and every one of our guest with their creations.
- At least 2 years of bakery and pastry experience required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor you may be exposed to casinorelated environmental factors including but not limited to excessive noise.
