About SPM Oil and Gas
SPM Oil and Gas provides superior products and service solutions to Oil & Gas customers in upstream production transportation refining and related industries. The team works hard to create lifelong customer relationships supplying comprehensive product & service solutions for the Oil & Gas industry and setting the standard for excellence in the segment.
The Role
SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Spray Welder (Welder I). This individual will have experience with basic coating skills masking procedures with familiarity of Oerlikon Metko Diamond Jet HVOF equipment and TAFA TWA equipment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
A Specialty and Metal Sprayer has basic coating skills masking procedures measuring skills and able to follow metal spray equipment operation guidelines.
Reads blueprints to ensure accuracy of finished parts.
Resolves spray welding needs and issues by applying expertise and industry knowledge (to include usage of welding codes).
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Complete clear and accurate paperwork.
Uses measuring tools to accurately measure parts.
Maintains equipment in a functional and safe working order.
Other duties as requested or required
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma with up to 3 months related workplace experience; or six months vocational/technical training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Specialty and Metal Sprayer may require 12 years of general work experience.
Must have basic knowledge of Critical Safety Devices and their purpose
Demonstrate the ability to accurately complete all workrelated documents
Fluency in English (read write comprehend)
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems
Must have mechanical aptitude
Observe safety and security procedures
