Job Description

Position Posting: After School Activity Program Aide District Wide

Qualifications:Must be at least 16 years of age

Compensation: $12.00 per hour 2.5 hrs per day

Employment: 2024/25 School Year Current Positions Available

Reports To: Expanded Learning Program Director

JOB TITLE: After School Program Aide Fremont After School Programs

REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level:

  • Current high school student or under the age of 18 must be 16 years of age

Certification/Licensure:

  • None Required

Experience Desired:

  • Experience working with youth

Other Requirements:

  • Positive interpersonal and listening skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and as a team
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to multitask and direct students
  • Ensure a positive experience and environment that promotes and enhances student learning skills and achievement.

REPORTS TO: Site Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions of each employees position includes 1 regular dependable inperson attendance on the job; 2 the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge skills and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and 3 the ability to perform the physical requirements on their specific job description.

Basic:

  • Assist leaders in facilitating expanded learning opportunities and activities for students in grades K4 or 56. Responsible for the supervision management and safety of children.

Frequent:

  1. Adheres to applicable District policies and regulations required by the grant.
  2. Assist in leading daily expanded learning opportunities.
  3. Monitors students and assists them in program offerings.
  4. Serves as a mentor encourages youth achievement and promotes youth development.
  5. Implements and models positive discipline and behavior management.
  6. Attends required staff meetings training and professional development as assigned.
  7. Assures that program spaces are well maintained and left as found.
  8. Communicates well with others and has sound decision making skills versatility initiative high energy and strong human relation skills.
  9. Maintains communication with parents and families.
  10. Performs other related duties as required.

Climatic Environment: Work environment is heated/airconditioned however some facilities may not be airconditioned. When outdoors whatever the weather conditions dictate.
