TITLE: Operations Pool Class 13

DEPARTMENT:Custodial Services

REPORTS TO:Operations Chief Custodial Specialist Building Administrator

EVALUATES:Not applicable

POSITION TYPE: OPER

FLSA STATUS: NonExempt Full Time

DAYS: 260 DAY/ 8 HOUR DAY

HOURS:3:30PM 12AM MIDNIGHT

HOOVERHIGHSCHOOL

HOURS: 11 AM to 7:30 PM

FLOATER/SUBSTITUTE
MONDAY FRIDAY

HOURS: VARY EITHER 2PM10:30PM OR 3:30PM 12AM MIDNIGHT

BASIC FUNCTION:
Perform custodial work in assigned buildings. Responsibilities may include sweeping and mopping floors; emptying garbage; cleaning classrooms restrooms and hallways and securing the building. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the operations department.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Sweep dust arrange furniture empty wastebaskets and pencil sharpeners.
  2. Clean chalkboards/whiteboards and erasers.
  3. Wash walls woodwork and windows.
  4. Wax and polish floors.
  5. Perform all cleaning tasks to properly maintain clean and neatfacilities.
  6. Adhere to all district policies and department rules.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (for every DMPS position):

  1. Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
  2. Maintain confidentiality.
  3. Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public students and other employees.
  4. Assist with other duties as may be assigned.


HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Cleaning experience
  2. Experience working with custodial equipment
