Job Description

Must be certified in Science 712

  • Exhibit accurate knowledge of content and pedagogy.
  • Exhibit knowledge of students individual development and special needs.
  • Exhibit knowledge of students individual skills and knowledge.
  • Select and use appropriate resources.
  • Adhere to each student Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan.
  • Build and design coherent lessons activities and assessments of rigor that match standards of learning.
  • Create an environment of respect and rapport.
  • Establish a positive culture for learning.
  • Exhibit effective classroom procedures with little loss of instruction.
  • Effectively supervise students and manages student behavior.
  • Effectively communicate with students.
  • Confer with parents or guardians other teachers counselors and administrators to resolve students behavioral and academic problems.
  • Exhibit high expectations and effective delivery of lessons.
  • Demonstrate effective questioning and discussion techniques.
  • Provide timely consistent and highquality feedback to students.
  • Exhibit the use of assessments during instruction.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to student learning.
  • Reflect on teaching and make adjustments for targeting greater understanding and student achievement.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records as required by laws district policies and administrative regulations.
  • Select store order issue and inventory classroom equipment materials and supplies.
  • Effectively communicate with families to discuss childrens progress and needs.
  • Exhibit participation and contributions to the professional community.
  • Exhibit continued professional growth and development.
  • Exhibit professionalism with students staff and parents.
  • Report to proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment neglect or abuse.
  • Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Attend all professional meetings educational conferences and professional development sessions.
  • Assist in the supervision of students (such as in school libraries hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading).
  • Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs student organizations and academic contests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or other administrators.

Requirements

Certifications & Licenses:

1. Must have current Arkansas teaching license and certification for the grade level or subject area assigned to.
