Job Description
SubstituteTeachers and Substitute Education Support Professionals
GradesPreK to 12 needed for daily oncall basis to fill in for absences.

Requirements for Substitute Teachers:
- Bachelors Degree Required for Teaching Roles (a copy of transcripts/evidence of degree must accompany application)
*A college student who is in second semester junior year or higher may apply as a Teacher Substitue (with proof of credits/transcripts)*
Rate:$110.50 per day
Requirements for Substitute Education Support Professionals:
- High School Degree or equivalent
Rate: $95.00 per day
Substitute Resposibilities:
1. Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency
2. Communicate with classroom teachers and if necessary principal regarding expectations for student work behavior and lesson .
3. Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students.
4. Ensure the teachers absence does not cause an interruption in classroom instruction.
5. Perform supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch bus or recess duty).
6. Abide by state statutes school committee policies and regulations
7. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
8. Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information
9. Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed
10. Assumes responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned
