Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer Location: Melksham UK (HPW) Scope of the Function We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer based at HPW and reporting to Rob Midgley CI and Transformation Leader Please note this vacancy is a Permanent position. The continuous improvement Engineer is responsible for driving the improvement of the site through Kaizen and A3 completion. The ideal candidate will utilize lean manufacturing principles and other advanced improvement concepts to optimize operational efficiency. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be expected to meticulously collect and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement. Furthermore you will play a key role in devising and implementing corrective measures to enhance overall safety quality and efficiency within the manufacturing environment Key Responsibilities - Provide tactical coaching on Lean Methodology and Continuous Improvement Techniques
- Investigate experiment and implement processes to maximize productivity.
- Through A3 conduct process reviews perform root cause analyses develop improvement plans and implement lean manufacturing.
- Facilitate Kaizen Workshops to develop team members and the wider employee base.
- Provide manufacturing with technical engineering support to implement new products and processes into production.
- Responsible for CI Related documentation control revision and upkeep.
- Assist in Kaizenimpacted departments completion of flow diagrams change controls FMEA etc.
- Serve as a resource and champion for process improvement initiatives across the organization and with suppliers.
- Work with all levels of employees to identify opportunities for improvement develop solutions and implement change.
- Training mentoring and guiding team members in improved processes.
- Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.
- Create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement by actively managing A3 and Kaizen to improve overall quality.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements
- Experience with improving nonmanufacturing related processes (i.e. information flow back/frontoffice processes etc.
- Strong commitment to Standardized Work 5S and InProcess Quality
- Approximately 10 travel required
Background and Skills - Experience working with diverse teams
- Strong interpersonal coaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to achieve results through others by effective delegation and accountability.
Desirable - Has solely facilitated at least 5 weeklong Kaizen Events
Education - Bachelors Degree in a related field (Engineering Engineering Technology etc. with two years of continuous improvement experience
- Specialised certifications or trainings in the areas of quality and/or continuous improvement
- 2 years experience applying continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written skills; must be able to provide weekly reports facilitate kaizen explain quantitative analysis and engage teams in presentations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage action items within multiple projects.
- Extensive use of the Microsoft Suite (Word Excel Vision
Experience - Hands on experience of improving production sites with real world knowledge of the workings of Flow Kanban and 5S etc ideally in a highly regulated industry.
