OurOpportunity
A unique opportunity is now available in ourLongwalldivision for a Leading Hand Fabricator. This position will involve duties including but not limited to:
- Assisting the Project Coordinators in problem solving issues in the construction of works.
- Adhering to schedules and plans to optimise construction activities.
- Working closely with subcontractors to ensure plans and schedule are met.
- Assist in fault finding of operating machinery equipment plant identify bottlenecks maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
- Encourage and maintain a safe work environment led by example.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of compliance with Policy and Process as directed.
- Implement proper housekeeping to ensure tools and equipment are maintained and safe to operate.
- Lead and motivate team of Trades TAs and Apprentices to meet deadlines and perform to a high standard whilst promoting a safe work place.
- Give instructions to all on shift for the day ensuring pre starts are communicated clearly and workflow for the day is understood.
- Hold a current Trades Certificate or other equivalent qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as a leading hand
- Hold a current forklift licence
- Have a working knowledge of computerised drawings
- First aid certificate
