Job Summary:
Cat Parts Aftermarket manages inventory and service on 800000 different parts. This position provides backend support for various facilities/ warehouses in US Europe and Asia Pacific locations. The functions include the below mentioned activities:

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Level Working Knowledge:
Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.
Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
Uses factfinding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
Level Basic Understanding:
Explains how improvements in logistics contribute to competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Identifies issues and considerations for inbound and outbound logistics.
Documents internal and external informative sources or proprietary materials about logistics management
Describes basic logistical processes and subprocesses.
Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use strategies practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.
Level Working Knowledge:
Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.
Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.
Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products or components.
Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
Level Working Knowledge:
Detects and summarizes patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports.
Assesses common problems and obstacles surrounding datagathering.
Customizes data fields to meet clients needs.
