The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RIMUHC) is a worldrenowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RIMUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Qubec Sant (FRQS).
Position summary
The Smart Hospital Project is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Project Manager to lead and support our simulation studies. This fulltime position is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Our project combines wireless technology smart dashboards and machine learning to improve neonatal careplacing families and patients at the heart of everything we do.
General Duties
To hire train and assist trainees related to simulation room experiments.
To act as point of contact between principal investigators and current/incoming students related to simulation studies by answering daytoday questions ensuring timely completion of simulations and communicating progress and hurdles to leadership.
To collect and analyze simulated data for equipment/clinical comparison for small studies or during transitional periods (continuing study between students).
To consult on and assist in simulation and clinical data analysis as needed.
To write simulation project protocols with a budget when applicable for simulated data collection and testing of clinical data collection setups.
To manage simulation and clinical equipment storing unused equipment maintaining inventory sourcing new products and preparing it for use.
To aid in and ensure timely completion of grant proposals manuscripts and other academic submissions related to simulation studies.
To test newly acquired equipment for clinical or simulation study purposes.
To schedule simulation lab use and ensure equipment is set up accordingly.
To prepare simulations and presentation materials for demonstrations related to the simulation room.
Excellent French and English spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
Prior experience as a goaloriented project manager
Training and experience in science particularly in the management of largescale programs
Experience leading large groups to a common goal
Experience working in academic and public institutions would be considered an asset.
Status: Temporary full time 35hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience. $55692.00 $103412.40/ year.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Work Site: 2155 Guy Street
